Art Movie Assighnment

  • My favourite part of dead men don't wear plaid was how the bag got stuck to the characters shoe I thought this bit was funny and I personally think its old and definitely something I have seen in many films.
  • My favourite part of metropolis was when the camera was outside the building and you could see the place slowly turn into chaos as the temperature rises I like this because it makes you what is going to happen when it( the temperature) get gets to the top.
  • My favourite part of Potemkin was at the beginning of the film and 11 seconds into the film where you see the area in chaos. It seems like in those days the just did a couple of seconds and then repeated it somehow. I say this because it seems like they do the exact same thing over and over.
What I want to have happen is you see Steve martins character walking through union station then then we cut to the chaos scene from metropolis then the temperature rising on the thermometer cut back to Martins character again as hes walking through the station and looking over his shoulder as the man following him is always watching him but looks away when martins character looks at him. As the film comes closer to the end the temperature rising and back to martin with the temperature rising to the top on the thermometer at the end then cut to the actor just as they're getting on the train before you see the bag stuck on his foot ending as he sits down with a guilty look on his face. Doing this will hopefully get the audiences asking did he have something to do with the buildings malfunction?

I plan on having fire near the building from metropolis to help better the feel of chaos I used the curves effect in after effects to try and make the colors and the look of the film itself more even and shot in the same time.
