1. I think Hero is considered an Art Movie because of the colour coding. I noticed the actors clothing also changed color frequently. the style of how it was shot was noticeably different then other movies i have seen not to mention the flashbacks don't have a transition. Also it had a low budget of $31 million definitely cheaper then other movies i have seen.
2. I think a way the director made this a movie for everybody by mixing some genres together there is history, action, and a little bit of romance. I also think that he was able to make it a movie for everybody by using toned down violence there was some blood but it was not gory.
The Language in the movie also helps i don't recall there being any curse words throughout this film.
3. I did enjoy the movie because its a non-fiction movie that took place in china millions of years ago.
Also i liked the color coding that gave more enhanced action scenes throughout the film.
The effects were well done for a low budget film (thousands of arrows on screen at once)
I also found the story this movie was based on to be very interesting. However i do think more blood (not gory) should have been used or at least a cut in the clothing from when a character was stabbed exception made for the suicide at the end of the film as the woman was behind her deceased lover.
4. How the director used color coding the director used color coding to tell the story with 4 colors to tie in 4 segments each color also containing a story Green is the representation of reminiscing, blue is the struggle among the three of them.
